WESTERN ROW ROAD RAILROAD CROSSING UPGRADE

This project will upgrade the existing railroad crossing on Western Row Rd.

This project is a joint venture between the Ohio Rail Development Commission, the City of Mason, and the Indiana & Ohio Railway. The upgrade will include the installation of flashing lights and roadway gates, and the replacement of the existing crossing surface with a new concrete surface (similar to that of Tylersville Rd and US42 crossing), for the benefit of the traveling public. Ohio Rail Development Commission (ORDC) and the I&O Railway are providing funding for the project.

Current Status: The crossing surface replacement portion of the project is complete. The second portion of the project is the addition of new flashing lights and railroad gate arms. This portion started on 4/2, and the contractor is currently working. There will be lane closures on this site. Learn more about this project by clicking here.
