2025 STREET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM

The City currently maintains approximately 387 lane miles of roadway throughout Mason. The city aims to repave streets every 15-25 years, dependent upon a variety of factors. These factors include: resurfacing budget, street condition rating, the possibility of repair to extend the life of a street, the amount of traffic on a roadway, etc. A list of roadways/streets included for resurfacing in this year’s program can be found here. Streets on the alternate list are not guaranteed to be paved this year. Streets on this list will be repaved as the contract budget allows.

A completion date is anticipated for the end of 2025.

Current Status:  The contractor commenced work in July and is scheduled to perform milling and resurfacing in the areas of Tylersville Road, Nicholas Way, and Thornberry Court from now until Friday, August 1. Through traffic may experience some disruptions/detours, however, patrons will be able to access the plazas and local businesses. The contractor is also in the process of milling and resurfacing several streets in the Crooked Tree neighborhood (the same streets which featured curb improvements earlier this year). The contractor will post no parking signs prior to the work being performed.
