2025 CONCRETE CURB & SIDEWALK PROGRAM

Prior to asphalt resurfacing, typically some preparation work is required to effectively restore the condition of a roadway/street. Broken, settled, and cracked curbs are removed and replaced to properly restore drainage conditions. In certain areas of the city, damaged or settled sidewalks will be replaced. This work is performed in advance of and separate to the asphalt resurfacing contract. In addition to some cost savings, this option gives flexibility to schedule curb replacement work in a timely manner ahead of the milling and resurfacing operations. A list of roadways/streets included for street maintenance in this year’s program can be found here. Streets on the alternate list are not guaranteed to be paved this year. Streets on this list will be repaved as the contract budget allows.

A completion date is anticipated for fall of 2025.

Current Status:  The 2025 contract has been awarded. The contractor is currently replacing curb and repairing catch basins in the northwest quadrant of the city. The work pertains to sections of curb that are broken, cracked and/or settled. The contractor will notify residents if they need to remove the curb in front of their driveway. All curb and catch basin repair work throughout the City is scheduled to be completed by July.
